STORING FROSTED CAKES
1) Airtight Container
If cake is frosted with cream cheese or ganache, make sure to cover it and keep it in an airtight container in the fridge.
2) Room Temperature
You can keep the frosted cake at room temperature for four or five days.
STORING CUT CAKES
1) Add more frosting
When you cut a cake, the moisture begins to escape. Frosting protects the cake from losing its moisture so cover the edges with frosting for protecting the cake for longer period.
2) Plastic Wrap
Cover the cake with plastic wrap then cover it with keeper. Store it at room temperature but remember cut cake stays for a little less time than an uncut cake, usually, up to three days.
